New sports festival coming to Penn State. What to know about ‘See Her Win’

A new girls-only, multi-sport festival will debut at Penn State this spring. “See Her Win” was designed by Happy Valley Sports and Entertainment Alliance (HVSEA) in partnership with Teammates for Life, a Penn State women’s athletics initiative. The event, to be held over Memorial Day weekend, will bring middle school and high school female athletes from across the region to compete, connect and grow on and off the field, according to a press release.

HVSEA Executive Director Eric Engelbarts said the festival demonstrates the alliance’s mission to elevate Happy Valley with sports and entertainment. Additionally, See Her Win will inspire the next generation of female athletes and leaders, he said in the release. Sports featured in the inaugural event are flag football, field hockey, lacrosse, rugby and wheelchair basketball. There will also be clinics, community-building exercises, and other events that work to strengthen teamwork skills for athletes and families.
